Monday is a good opportunity to achieve the first milestone badge for May's challenge on your strava (if you're that way inclined).

I'd be keen for this, I've got an essay to write unfortunately and can't afford a whole day off 'enjoying' myself. Are there any shorter rides going on for the bank holiday Monday?

Thats a good idea just do the easy bit. lol!
Seriously though that would be a very good call i think we had a fe do that last time .if you look at the route you can see the best place to peel of ,maybe Clevedon where we go towards Yatton you could come back across the moors and the cycle track back into Bristol.

Where are we stopping for food? It's going to be very busy on Monday with the sun beaming!

Who said anything about stopping Wink

Last time we did this route we stopped at a little Cafe in Sand Bay that had an indoor water feature and then again at a Cafe in Cheddar.

Just thinking ahead but with over 20 of us and the bank holiday tourists I got the feeling it's going to be a long wait.

You make a very good point Phil.

I think that if we use the cafe in sand bay it should be ok but the Gorge is going to be über busy.

I'm well up for this ride. Anyone remember what the approximate ride time was when you did this route last year, as I'm working on Monday night, just to give me some idea if and where I'll have to split off early.

I drove past the little cafe at SandBay yesterday and it still seems to be open so thats a possibility.
I will try and ring them to check out and warn them.
As to finishing time very difficult as last time the Gods threw everything at us weather wise which made it a long day.

That's an impressive 17 confirmed plus who knows how many that have yet to decide which includes Stela who wasn't sure she had the legs for it. Come on Stela, you can do it !

Gary, looks like I'm in. What time are you meeting at Costa now?

I'm 99% sure I will be there unless the bristol 10k really messes me up. And if I'm getting it tight I will cut the journey short if other people drop out.
See u at the Monday morning
