Saturday 4th May - Berkeley for Tea (club ride)

After trying out the tea rooms in Berkeley a few weeks ago I thought we'd go back for a second visit. Make sure you get plenty of cake on board as you'll need the energy to climb Mumbleys and the S's at Almondsbury.

Meeting at Costa Coffee, Bradley Stoke @ 8.45am for a 9.00am departure. Grade: Fruit

Me, Steve and Dave Morgan will definately be there on Saturday. May also bring my friend Mark, if he has sobered up by then and is out of his opium den. May also bring Pugh! Pugh! Barney McGrew! Cuthbert! Dibble! Grubb! depends on their fire duties/call outs.

Thanks everyone for a fine slice of cake and the shot of life giving espresso yesterday. The ride to get there wasn't bad either.

Did another short ride today but it turns out the the Brecon Beacons are quite hilly. The 64 horizontal kms were fine but the 1,300m vertical almost killed me. The Black Mountain climb just seemed endless.

Hope to be out again next weekend.
