THURSDAY EVENING RIDE 8/8/13

This weeks ride weather permitting,will be as follows start Co-op winterbourne 6.15,with a pickup point at the old Glos rd/winterbourne rd lights junction next to the large factory@6.25pm.
The route will be old glos rd-perrinpit rd-frampton cotterall-iron acton-westerleigh-pucklechurch-siston then a quick Sniffter at the bridge inn Shortwood approx 22 miles,the evenings are starting to draw in a bit,hence a slightly shorter route.

I hope to be there providing I finish putting up my garden fence!

Andy, work and train times permitting I might be able to join you. Where exactly is this junction (Old Glos Rd/Winterbourne Rd jc).

The junction is on the road that comes down from winterbourne,to meet the roundabout at the start of bradley stoke way.
From emersons green you could ride to hambrook,turn onto old glos road follow this road until the junction,you will see The factory in front of you,old glos rd continues on the right turn at the lights,its best to cross the road at the ped-crossing

That's the one. It's the probably a very similar distance from Willy Wicket down Old Glos Rd. as if you were to meet at Co-op so, I generally cycle out through Wnterourne Down when I join the Thursday rides.

Can't make this week, I've been off work (and therefore the bike) for a week with sinusitis and it still hasn't cleared up. Ill be there next week if we have one though!

Wont be able to make it. Didn't manage to finish meeting earlier so on later train from London.

Andy I only had about 45 mins so a quick blast around the block was all I could put in. I hope you had a good ride?

I was about 4 mins late to the meet point on Glos road and no one was there so blasted along it but not sure what road you would of turned off, so wen't down to Tockington and did a loop.

Was I close?

"Sorry we missed you",surprising what ground you can cover 4 mins,if you had turned right into perrinpit road, the speed You were doing you'd have caught us up in a mile or so.

Thanks to all for another pleasent,"if some what windy at times" ride,next Thursday might be the last for this year
I will be going on holiday the following week,after that the evenings will be to short to hold decent ride.
