I'd heard today that power lines came down between Itchington and Tytherington so not sure if that is going to affect the route?

I'll do a recce of that section tomorrow.

I checked out the roads/lanes around Tytherington today, there were some Western Power Distribution guys in Tytherington in a cherry picker doing something to the top of a telegraph pole but this wasn't affecting the traffic. Quite a few very large puddles in places and a couple of flooded but ride-throughable stretches, as demonstrated by two cyclists out enjoying the Christmas Eve afternoon sun.
Weather forecast for Boxing Day morning looks pretty good ("mostly dry and bright").
