| Edders (Barry) and myself were planning on going for a short ride before watching the tour. We're not sure on a route or where we're going to watch the race although bridge valley road is a possibility. Any suggestions and anyone else who wants to come along would be great. Cheers Paul | |

| I'll hijack this.
Myself and Darren are planning to watch it although not sure where either, possibly Charfield hill. I was then thinking of following the route into town but skipping the Blaise Castle bit and heading to the Downs.
Any thoughts...... |

| Charfield will be a good ride, it's a short hill but pretty steep. The actual map they post on the official website is utter garbage. Will download the GPX tomorrow and have a good look at the route. Any possibilities of doing 2 stops??
Ricky will be joining us as well now I believe.

| I guess BS will be quite central for those going. As for time I guess we need to rubber stamp the viewing point, see the schedules time of arrival and work back from there. | |

| The predicted time to pass through charfield is between 2 & 2:45pm according to the stage download but I'm not sure how accurate this will be. | |

| I thought 2.45 was about the predicted overall finish time? | |

| I'm guessing we need to get there with a bit of time to spare if they're early and/or if it's busy. The earliest I can get to Costa is going to be about 9:30ish after the school run.
I know this may be a silly question but are we going to need to take bike locks in case our bikes have to be left further back from the race route?

| I was thinking about 1200. Go straight there to watch, but I finish nights in the morning and need a couple of hours sleep so if you're going early I'll meet you at Charfield. |

| I guess meet at 9:30ish then as we are doing 40 mile ride first I know what you mean about the bike lock thing. I'm not sure what Charfield is like, will there even be palces to lock you bike? | |

| It's not 40 miles before charfield, that takes into account getting back as well. I'd suggest 1030 at costa?? | |
