| Just a new thread so we don't get confused. Idea is To ride route ten and to stretch it to 100miles.As most of it is local but in a big circle we can drop out at any time,if anyone wants to. We are looking at Wed 28th EARLY START http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/BRVC-does-Route-10So far Scott Jam Phil Steve ? Gary? Peterp Mark

| I'm up for Route 10 after Christmas. I'm free tues and wed (27/28) and either thurs or fri (probably friday).
If we started off from Tesco BS and picked up Route 10 "somewhere north of Yate", that would add about 8 miles to Route 10, then do the 85 mile circular Route 10 all the way around back to "somewhere north of Yate", and then back to Tesco BS adding another 8 miles, thus making 101 miles.

| Ye thats the plan. when we did it before we joined the route at Fishponds by Morrisons then out to the lakes Lulsgate clevedon pill easter compton thornbury inglestone and yate . We did it that way because of the prevailing wind. Also the hardest bit is from Bristol to the lakes once thats done the rest is pretty easy.Coffee shops will have to be sorted.Last time we stopped at Pill at the co op to stock up on pasties. | |

| Weds looking good for me. Last year we did total just over 100 miles including joining and leaving route 10. A Tesco start will indeed be 101 miles. I'll see if I have another GPX version of route 10 somewhere but this one worked for me when I drew it up. This was a very enjoyable ride as nearly all the roads/lanes where cyclist friendly. Some pics from last year[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Most of the route are friendly bike lanes...[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And Scott missing the poo![You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Might need a few more clothes this time and a flask of coffee instead of Water. But the pasties will still go down well. | |

| If we have our normal Tesco as main point then head along bypass to the old station @Mangotsfield on the cycle track then along to Saltford on the cycle track it gives others a good chance to join in at various places ie Bitton/Warmley etc. I think 08.00 is ok from Tesco's with any luck only need blinkies to get home but will carry big bad lights in case. | |

| I found a little flask the with a bit of foam wraed round fitted into the water bottle.Try and get one that you have to take the lid off not press the button they seem to kee hotter longer. Also being all metal they take the bumps.Oh and I warm the milk up as well it makes it hotter for longer. God bless my expresso machine.I love it almost as much as BS1.

| OR:-- Follow signs saying avon cycleway route ten .It's a dam site cheaper and easier than a gps. To be fair I don't think there is any of this route we have not done.we have done lakes then across to Lulsgate,Brockley coombe , moors to Clevedon back to up the moors etc..

| Providing the house has been reassembled you can pencil me in, I would meet at Mangotsfield station. As my dear wife is working New Year's Eve, I am available for a Sunday ride, will also post on Weekend rides. |

| Well according the some of the weather forecasts Wednesday won't be too bad might even see some sun!! I don't think I need to get the factor 30 out though. I know it's early but we really need to get away 8.00 - 08.30 at the latest. It might be wise to have lights as well.
