Just floating the idea.
Later on in the week ie Thursday/Friday.

I should be OK.

Would prefer a start from Warmley or meet up on route.

I might be up for Thursday or Friday.
Any one else about? Which day is day is best?
You got any passes left for a day out Peter,or Martin thats if you have finished at Crufts?

I too might be up for Thursday/Friday. It would be my first ride with the group.

If we go South then means something like the lakes.

Normally I'd be happy to ride to the start, but if we're going south then I'll probably drive.

Thursday sounds good, especially as the weather is forecast to turn a lot colder towards the end of the week.

If it's ok then how about 9.30 from Warmley cycle track where it crosses the road?.There is a little car park there so we can park there.

I've found Warmley on the map but I don't know where this cycle track is, or what road it crosses. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Cycle track crosses the A420 (Chippenham Road)which is a left turn at roundabout from Ring Road if coming from Bradley Stoke direction or a right turn if coming from Brislington end.

There is a car park adjacent to the track.

The Car Park is opposite the A420/Tower Road junction.

BTW - is it a pay-and-display car park, or free? Just so I can plan for coinage if necessary.

I believe it's free ... Scott will know for sure and there's a height limit
so no roof mounted bikes !!!

If I use it you can bet your bottom dollar it's free.

Am hopeful of appearing. Have a few plumbing tasks Wednesday; but should be leak free by Thursday. The lakes sound good and food and drink is available.

Hi Cooky, it's only a diddy car park with 27 spaces, to give you an idea of what you're looking for. It does have a maximum stay time limit of 24 hours so you should be back in time! Oh and it's got a public convenience.

It saddens me when I see " Scott has no Friends" on his profile (and everybody else's )

But I quess it no surprise when he keeps finding all those bloody HILLS

This is where we are going but don't tell Clifton9.We don't want him coming so no one tell him.

Unless the weather is dire, will be at Warmley for 9.30. I presume we are bound for Chew Valley lake? After Sunday's poor performance will have to select a suitable mount.

Ian route we took above.
Well another nice day out with the mature riders.
Peter,Martin(clifton9),Nick(Tompo)and our latest new member Ian (cooky) who it turns out is young Alex's Dad.Ian it was really nice to have you with us today it made a lovely little group.
Unfortunately Peter had three punctures,Well actually it was good as we had a chance to stop and get legs back while Peter changed it.
As you can see from route we went to the lakes at Chew,where we availed ourselfs of tea,pasty and cake.. oh we also stopped at Bitton to make sure their cake and tea were ok.
Looks like we are going again next Thursday to Slimbridge.so if any one fancies pinching a day off I won't tell!!!
