Castle Combe Empty
PostSubject: Castle Combe   Castle Combe EmptyTue May 22, 2012 9:36 am

Wasn't sure where to post this so I thought I would make a new topic - I just wondered if anyone is driving over to Castle Combe this evening and whether I could have a lift? Obviously I will cycle to meet you. And don't worry my bike isn't going to be noisy anymore as of this evening and it is squeaky clean so won't make anybodys car messy! Smile

It is a 2 mile tarmac traffic free loop and you can either join a group and cycle round or ride on your own, it is 3 pounds and starts at half 5 till it gets dark or you get tired! I remember a few people saying on Sunday that they had been before and as it is such a nice day I just wondered if anyone was planning on going today.

If not don't - I have spares (all my bikes are now 10 speed so they're
"homeless" Smile )

I didn't know about Castle Combe until now, and I'm still puzzled by it, although I have been there to watch some racing a few times.

EDIT: The chippenham wheelers explain it all: http://www.chippenhamwheelers.org/page/castle-combe-circuit

I also found this:http://www.castlecombecyclingfestival.co.uk/

Just sorted it myself, real easy on strava. Just go into Actions then crop ride. Shame really as I wiped off a lot of KOMs.
