Anybody fancy a ride out on Thursday?

I was thinking of heading towards Chew Magna and Blagdon but I'm open to other routes.

You can't fail to notice that two major climbs await, Dundry Lane (mile 9 - 11) and Belmont Hill (mile 41 - 42).

Paul, could you manage a 9.30am start from Kellaway Builders on Kellaway Ave ?

Yeah 9:30am from Kellaway Avenue is no problem.

Dundry Lane is awful! Full of mud and rubbish, I went up it in September (by mistake) and my back wheel just kept losing traction as the surface was so bad, best to avoid it.

I'd like to ride tomorrow as well. Agree that it's best to avoid Dundry Hill,it is difficult to get traction due to dodging rubbish and slime. Instead could go via B3130 through Winford, up Harptree Hill, then down Brockley Combe?

Sorry should have said down Burrington Combe, not Brockley.

Glad to have you along Pete and thanks guys for the warning about the condition of Dundry Hill which I've now taken out. I have rerouted via Winford but have avoided Harptree Hill. We'll stop for a light lunch at Parsons Bakery in Yatton.
