| It's the Jack and Grace Audax details here If we all ask nicely the I am sure someone will post up a GPS link. mind you most of us know 98% of the route as we ride it most weeks the only bit you might not know goes into my territory and I know that bit. LINK for route http://ridewithgps.com/trips/2047544 well this was last years I will have a look and see if it's the same. just checked and it looks the same. | |

| I forgot to register for this I notice someone mentioned it might be OK if any non-regged riders just tag along and give a donation on day. Would that be ok? Anyone else like to do this who's not registerd? You giving it a go Barry? | |

| Phil and I went for a little old mans ride today and we returned via the last part of the Jack and Grace route. Unfortunately the road between mile 57 - 58 on Johns link is a nightmare. It always was a dirty road but they have hedge trimmed both sides of a narrow road consequently it is VERY bad and some very deep puddles. Might be worth staying along Iron Acton road at Cromhall ie dont turn into Church Lane for about 1 1/2 ,iles and then turning right into Sidcot lane thus picking the route back up. The hardcore Audaxers on 28 or 32's will be ok but you boys on your plastic go fast bikes might not like it. | |

| Personally I would re route as it is bad . I have spoken to Ken who knows the organisers and he is going to fore warn them.Never know the highways might send a road sweeper along there | |

| That road is nasty. Hedge trimmings everywhere so expect the minty devil to pounce. Reroute would be nice John | |

| To anyone thinking of riding the Jack and Grace as a Bobby entry, be careful. As an Audax organiser I would advise against it unless you have third party insurance, ie through Audax UK, CTC, BCF or similar.
Everyone riding officially will have insurance (legal requirement to ride the event) an uninsured rider causing an accident would be opening themselves up to a shed load of grief!!
However no-one can stop you riding on the public highway............the choice is yours. | |
