Thursday 11th August - Evening Ride

currently feeling like I'm going to bail on this one ... my right
hip is still uncomfortable on the bike after the Wales ride :-(

Weather should be ok for our Thursday night ride. For those of you that are joining us we will be meeting up from 6pm onwards to fill up on cake and coffee and looking at leaving Subway at 6.30pm

Looks like it's brightening up so planning to be there

Maybe I typed too soon will keep checking but if it's raining/gusty at 6pm I'm going to bail and just ride tomorrow I think so don't wait for me

I did miss you Andy as I had no one to draft! Great little ride and rain held off to make it a very enjoyable evening. Good to a new face as well and hope you enjoyed the ride Martin. Looking forward to feeding the ducks on Sunday!

As mark said good ride.Martin the new chap joined us and was well up with us all the way mark and I sent them up the hill and back down at Tytherington whilst we took the bottom route.
As mark said the rain held off most of the night so poor old Norris was doing his coat on coat off trick,and to be fair the wind must of dropped as well.
There are couple of weekday rides next week so look at the board in a couple of days.I think John and Steve are sorting out a Thursday and I am only free Tuesday next week so will try to sort out a ride for then .

Said steely is 1984 Holdsworth Elan which I've owned since I was 18 (please don't do the maths). Was quitely rusting in the garage till early this year when I blew up the tyres, rode it and decided it was a site better than a Carrera mountain bike.... spent some time (and dosh) on it and quite pleased with the result. Hopefully ride it tomorrow.... don't like getting it wet and the geas arn't very hill friendly!
