Nice little tester for you all next week but as the weather has been kinder and you all have some miles in your legs we are we are going to have another go at this one .It has some nice climbs and even better downs.
So, it's across the old Severn Bridge, head north on the A466 (Monmouth Road) past Tintern, over Bigsweir Bridge, climb the Stowe Road thru Mork and past the clay pigeon shooters, thru Coalway and Broadwell then turn right onto Speech House Road, fast downhill now but keep an eye out for the Hopewell Colliery Museum Cafe on the left where we shall be stopping for lunch. Then it's on to Cannop, past the ponds (on your left), past Parkend then a long drag up to Bream before topping out at St Briavels. South on the B4228, most of the next 7 miles to Chepstow is downhill but save something for the nasty little 10% climb just after Hewelsfield. A short but steep climb takes us out of Chepstow then it's back across the Bridge, up Sundays Hill, Over Lane and back to where we started from, Bradley Stoke. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/28543365
