I think that nice young man Jeff put his hand up to look after you .I heard gary say something about a nasty lovely route for the main riders. so there you are all set for next week unless you fancy a trip up to Abergavenny ,Hoping the weather is fine, If you should see a red dog running free ......................

You'll need an mtb or cx bike for the first mile as the plotted route goes off-road and follows a stream (Patchway Brook) to Bowsland Way before returning to tarmac ! Or you could just stay on the cyclepath on Bradley Stoke Way to the roundabout and then take Bowsland Way.

Sorry 'bout that ! I'll try to check out the section from mile 6 to 7, you might remember that this is the lane that had gates installed to stop vehicles from using it, but allows peds and bikes to pass. The lane used to get quite muddy in places and with no vehicle use might be a bit overgrown. It's also used by horse-riders so I'll detail the droppings situation in my report.

Had a look at the lane today (04/10). It's not muddy, there are a few small piles of horse droppings and the hedges haven't taken over so I declare the lane to be rideable. This is a narrow lane and is quite technical in places and if it was up to me I'd bypass it, continue on to the Badminton Road and pick up the route at Nibley. Jus' sayin'.
