I'm driving after work too, hoping we can abandon the car somewhere near the hall...
Having not cycled a short ride of this nature before are there any guidelines for example about not drafting?!
How long have we got the hall for? Was wondering if there's time for a warm up and orientation ride ? (Bringing lights in case)

Gary - as above. There appears to be a problem with quoting.

I'm intending to park in Rockhampton and and use the ride to Hill as a bit of a warm up for the legs. That way Hill won't be clogged up with more cars than houses.

Abandoning the car shouldn't be too much of an issue but don't burn it out till after as the smoke may obscure parts of the course, not to mention fire hoses being a pain to bunny hop.
I believe drafting is not allowed in TT's not quite sure of the rules that apply to riding circles around a slice Victoria sponge (looping) though. presumably there's one about not getting jam on your fingers.
As for "short ride" there is also a 3 lap (roughly 25 mile) segment in situ .......

p.s. Did I mention what a pain in the ass fire hoses are to bunny hop?
