| As the big boys are away in the sun we need someone to sort out a ride for Saturday. It would be a shame to let all Marks hard work in organising the Saturday rides to let them slip whilst he is away/incapacitated | |

| I will most probably repeat this http://www.strava.com/activities/120759997on Saturday, it's not suitable for a big group (maybe 6-8 max) as there are a few short but steep hills that are very narrow around Carlingcott plus return via the Railway Path mid morning is not for practicing TTers Planning on passing through Bitton Station approx 9.00am. If there is any interest a short diversion could take in a cafe at Limpley Stoke |

| Holly the way you flew up Burrington no!
I have to say I have not done the exact route before but when I started out I went with Mark on his BIG ride as far as monmouth then back via Coleford which was hard work but I think you will be fine.
Mark is this much harder than the Cheddar ride?

About the same but the cafe stop and scenery on the way back are awesome

| Looks like a good route Ricky. Never ridden that way to Monmouth before, wonder if it will be any harder than the Devauden way.
Just think of it as extra practice before the Ball Buster next weekend. |

| That was my thought Graham, I think the ball buster will be tough so I plan to get in as many miles as I can this weekend. | |

| @Graham The route from Clearwell to Chepstow is the same that we did when returning from the cafe at Clearwell caves, the descent down Redbrook is a bit sketchy with some narrow sections and a very busy junction joining the main A road at the bottom, ascent up Trellech is right after the cafe stop so a bit of a bugger, rest of it is pretty rolling. It's a nice route with a few climbs. |

| Hi, what sort of distance and average pace will this route be? I'm interested in coming along but don't want to hold people up! |

The route is 55 miles from Costa, it won't be a fast ride due to the climbing.
