Thursday 11th August - Evening Ride

I'm interested in doing an evening ride next week and the only evening I'm available is next Thursday. If anyone fancies a fairly easy evening ride starting from Bradley Stoke around 6.30pm then let me know.

I am aware there are a few newer members wanting to try us out so if you would like to join us then we will pick a route accordingly to ensure that everyone enjoys themselves.

I would love to have joined you but it is my eldest lads birthday on Thursday.

Should be ok for a midweek ride next week though.

No problem, I'm sure someone will post an evening ride for week commencing 15th August so just keep an eye on the forum.

I'm thinking of a route that takes us out to Oldbury on Severn and around 30 miles. Alternatively we could go out through Frampton Cotterell, Chipping Sodbury Common and back through Wickwar. I'll post a couple of rides later and we can choose.

Good morning folks, for some reason I couldn't log onto the website to post the route. I will have another go when I get to my office in Edinburgh later on. I'm not sure if there was an issue with the server or my pc so I'll use a work one later to see if that helps. With regards to route we will be off to Frampton over Chipping Sodbury common and heading back to Bradley Stoke via Wickwar approx 30 miles.

So are we looking at 28 miles then?? as the ride map shows 41?? take it the 28 mile one turns off at Cromhall onto the cycleway heading to Tytherington as I only have get me home lights

You've got it Andy. I'll try and edit the route at Cromall but I struggled earlier but in essence we are looking at 28 miles approx. If we leave at 6.30pm we should be back in Bradley Stoke around 8.30pm!

Had a call from new chap today Called Martin.Comes from Winterbourne.He is hopefully meeting up on Thursday to come out for a ride.
I am still not sure if I will be there but if not be nice to him and buy him a coffee.Ta.
