| Subject: Easter Monday Gravel ride Sun Mar 20, 2016 6:49 pm | |
| I have the kids this weekend in Good Friday but I'm heading down to the Mendips via the Bridleways, cycle paths, quiet country roads. The route will require a cyclocross/gravel type bke but can also be ridden on a mtn bike (downs are more fun). Meeting at the entrance to Ashton Court (the one across from the suspension bridge)at 10am. Rough route will be Ashton Court, Plantation (It's by Belmont Hill), Cycletrack to Nailsea, Gravel path across the moor towards Yatton, Strawberry line, Climb past Sidcot school, Cafe on Shipham road, Blackdown, Descent to Burrington, Wrington, Cafe stop at the Ethicurean (if needed) Bridleway to Brockley, Clarken Coombe then Back to Bristol along the festival way. Pace won't be fast and liable to take the wrong turn or two along the way. This is roughly of the route. Blackdown route | |
